Network Operations Center along with NMS
The present network infrastructure design at DG Shipping is dependent on the existing eGovernance System including ePariksha, eOffice, etc. projects. The network landscape details at DG Shipping as follows:
i. C-DAC Cloud Infrastructure
The C-DAC Data Centre in Noida hosts various business applications for DGS, such as existing eGovernance System, ePariksha, BSID, Exit Exam, and eOffice. DGS is also availing Cloud Disaster recovery services from C-DAC.
ii. Internet Connectivity
Wide Area Network (hereinafter referred to as WAN): MTNL 100 Mbps internet bandwidth available at DG Shipping for business applications access from C-DAC Cloud Data Centre and internal usage purpose.
iii. Local network infrastructure
The Local area Network (hereinafter referred to as LAN) design considered in DGS is “Flat Switched Network (unmanaged)” with CAT6 backbone without redundancy. In flat switched networks, switches are added as more devices needed to be connected. The existing LAN infrastructure also comprising one Wireless Controller for managing 18 nos. Wireless Access Points. Please refer Annexure for more details.

Objective
DGS intends to engage reputed Service Provider for following three major activities:
- Providing Networking equipment and Network Management Solution (hereinafter referred to as NMS) as per Bill of Material with back-to-back Original Equipment Manufacturer (hereinafter referred to as OEM) support services for the period of contract.
- Upgradation cum Implementation, integration & configuration, and Operationalisation of supplied components as per scope of work.
- Providing Networking equipment and Network Management Solution (hereinafter referred to as NMS) as per Bill of Material with back-to-back Original Equipment Manufacturer (hereinafter referred to as OEM) support services for the period of contract.
- Upgradation cum Implementation, integration & configuration, and Operationalisation of supplied components as per scope of work.
- The proposed NOC shall handle feeds from the different management system and display them on the Video wall. Provide necessary integration facility with other infrastructure monitoring and management applications like Enterprise Management System, Security Information and Event management system as required by the Purchaser.
- NOC shall present a Consolidated Operating Picture of the real time events in the area of purview.
- Consolidate IT event management activities into a single operations bridge that allows operator quickly identify the cause of the IT incident. Reduces duplication of effort and decreases the time it takes to rectify issues and manage business continuity.
This service includes network designing, providing all related network hardware, installation, configuration, hardening, maintenance support, integration with LAN/WAN, operationalization, proactive monitoring and reporting software, etc., with Service Level Agreement (hereinafter referred as SLA) binding the Bidder and service quality commitments.
