Web based Digital Simulator

DG Shipping, recognizing the importance of cutting-edge training methodologies, has embarked on an initiative to develop a web-based simulator for assessments

  • To provide a realistic and immersive training environment that replicates real-world scenarios for both engine and deck operations.
  • To integrate simulation exercises into the oral assessment section of the Certificate of Competency (CoC), thereby enriching the assessment process with practical evaluations.
  • Provide a hassle-free and welcoming experience for visitors.
  • To ensure that the simulation exercises and module structure comply with the International Convention on STCW regulations and others.
  • To create a web-based platform that is scalable and accessible to maritime trainees from various geographic locations, without the need for specialized hardware.

Live Virtual Simulation Framework (LVSF): This cloud-based system will be used for all parts of the Simulation-based Modular courses, including theory, demonstrations, exercises, practical, and assessments.

  • Components of LVSF: The LVSF will use an online cloud-based simulator for Live Cloud Simulation Sessions (LCSS) and video conferencing software for Virtual Classes/Live Video Sessions (VC/LVS).
  • The LCSS system shall have a cloud-based simulator that provides the same fidelity, physical, behavioral and visual realism as a physical full mission simulator with the physical aspects such as panels and controls.
